Round Hill Farm

We went to Round Hill Farm today. We had so much fun! There was a corn maze, hay maze, hay ride, and a hay playground! I got stuck in all of them!!! We also got pumpkins there too! I got a huge one, almost too heavy for me to carry!

Hair paint day!!!!!!!

Yesterday my sister and brother and I got pink and purple hair paint. Here I am with pink & purple. Here are my brother & sister with paint in their hair, too.

My hair was cool! People kept saying that they would know that we belonged together because we all had pink and purple hair.

My Egg Drop

On September fifth, 2008 the 5th grade did an egg drop where you have to protect your egg enough so it will not break. Each kid has to design their own special container to hold and protect it so it will not break as easily as it would when just a plain egg would have been dropped. The teachers dropped the egg drop projects from the gym roof.

We had to think of a hypothesis and then how to solve it. My hypothesis was when an egg is dropped or crashed it breaks. I thought I solved the problem by putting my egg in a little water bottle and then putting the little water bottle in a bigger bottle. I should have made a cushion for my egg because it broke even though the parachute worked perfectly.

I named my egg after Amelia Earhart because Amelia Earhart was the first woman to fly. I named my egg Amelia Eggheart because it was dropped which is sort of like flying!

Promotion Sunday

Today was Promotion Sunday for our church Sunday school classes. That means that my brother moved up to the k-1 class. Our last year in the nursery is over, except for helping out.

Nim's Island

Sorry I haven't posted in a while!! I've had a busy week. This week we took care of our friends' chickens. I watched Nim's Island the other day with my sister and my brother. I am going to tell you about it.

Nim is an 11-year-old girl that lives on a remote island in the south pacific with her dad because her mom got swallowed by a blue whale. When her dad leaves her alone for a couple of days while he searches for protozoa Nim, the bad Buccaneers come but only Nim knows. But Nim uses her imagination to fight them off. I really like it and I think you would like it too! If you like adventure you will like it.

Violin

Last night I started violin lessons. They are for 30 min. every Tuesday night. My instructor's name is Richard Baritaud. I'm looking forward to learning more (I only know part of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star). Here is a clip of me playing notes. If you listen closely enough you can hear my 5 yr. old brother yelling at me to stop making noise!

Albermarle County Fair

On July 29th we went to the fair and we went on a lot of rides! The first ride we went on was the Dizzy Dragon, then the swings. Then we went on the Ferris wheel and ...got stuck on the TOP 3 times!!!! Then we went on the Flying Elephants, Pony carts and lots, lots more.

Beach Time!!

We went to the beach on the 20Th (Emerald Isle). On Monday it was rough (red flag) so my brother, my dad and I went down to the beach to see how it was. The water was really rough so we could only play in the sand that day. But the next day it was calmer so we went in the waves.

On Saturday it was my granddaddy's birthday so my aunt, sister, and I made a cake for him . Here are a couple pictures of the beach...
